Details Emerge Of Daring Israeli Special Forces Raid Into Syria

Before the fall of the Assad regime, 120 Israeli special forces troops were inserted by helicopter into Syria under the cover of darkness. Their target was an underground missile production facility nearly 124 miles from the Israeli border. 

According to The War Zone, forces on the ground were supported by 2 AH-64 attack helicopters, 21 fighters, 5 drones, 14 reconnaissance aircraft, and a series of strikes from Israeli Navy vessels. 

The operation was considered a profound success, with the soldiers dismantling the site and killing 30 guards in under 2.5 hours.
