The Armed Forces of Ukraine's fleet of armored vehicles has been replenished with another domestically developed model. The Ministry of Defence has codified and adopted the Dzhura armored vehicle, which is engineered to carry out different tactical duties.

Dzhura is built on the Toyota Land Cruiser 70 platform and equipped with an armor capsule that provides ballistic protection for personnel against firearms. The design of the armored capsule enables the placement of the machine gun on the turret.

The small size and weight of this light and compact armored vehicle facilitate off-road driving. Ukrainian engineers additionally enhanced the vehicle's suspension system. The range of this armored vehicle is over 650 km.

Depending on the intended use, the armored vehicle can be produced with different configurations of the armored cab and luggage compartment, namely for transportation for reconnaissance and patrols, managing logistics, evacuating the injured, and other related activities.

According to the Main Department of Support for the Lifecycle of Weapons and Military Equipment, the codification procedure for a new model of weapons or military equipment has been simplified to 10 days.

If codified and included in the table of organization and equipment of military units, a model of domestically produced weapons or military equipment is allowed to be purchased at the expense of the state budget and used in the Armed Forces.
