The footage of the attack posted on the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence social media accounts showed several munitions being launched into the sky which followed a series of massive explosions at the base.
Russia's S-400 is a mobile, surface-to-air missile system with a capability of targeting aircrafts as well as cruise and ballistic missiles. It is reported that the S-400 is considered to be a Russian equivalent of the US-made Patriot battery. Previously, Russia claimed that the S-400 played a key role in denying Ukrainian aircrafts of accessing the frontline.
