Lieutenant Colonel Edwin Hoogsteder's military journey commenced in 2004 with the Royal Netherlands Air Force, where he soared as an AS-532U2 Cougar pilot within the esteemed 300 Squadron of the Defence Helicopter Command. Embarking on numerous deployments to regions like Afghanistan and Somalia from 2007, he displayed unwavering commitment and expertise. Rising through the ranks, he assumed pivotal roles, serving as a flight commander and eventually becoming a lead weapons instructor, harnessing his skills to shape future aviators. Transitioning to staff positions in 2017 marked a new chapter, where he meticulously orchestrated major plans at both the Air Force headquarters and the Ministry of Defence.
