General Hubert Doutaud
General Hubert Doutaud, born on May 22, 1967, in Paris, joined the army as a cadet at the Saint-Cyr Military Academy in 1989. In 1994, he joined the 5th Combat Helicopter Regiment
in Pau, where he commanded attack helicopter squadrons and participated in operations in Bosnia (1996-1998).
In 2000, he was assigned to the 4th Division Headquarters in Limoges and promoted to major in 2002. He returned to Bosnia as a military assistant to the Chief of Staff of the Stabilization Force. Between 2003 and 2005, he attended the War College and the Joint Defense College in Paris. Promoted to lieutenant colonel in 2006, he was transferred to NATO’s Allied Command Transformation in Norfolk, USA, in 2007.
Back in France in 2010, he became an instructor at the War College and was promoted to colonel in 2011. He then commanded the Army Aviation branch School. From 2017 to 2019,
he managed human resources at COMALAT. Between 2019 and 2022, he was deputy commander of the 4th Airmobile Brigade and a military advisor in Mali during 6 months.
Since summer 2024, promoted brigadier and back in Paris, he is deputy commander of the French Army Aviation
