Lieutenant Commander Justin Burdett
A native of Mission, Texas, Lieutenant Commander Burdett enlisted in 2004 and was commissioned in 2013 through Officer Candidate School. He holds a Bachelor of Business Management from City University of Seattle and a Master of Business Administration in Supply Chain Management from Naval Postgraduate School.
His sea duty assignments included Stock Control, Sales, and Food Service Officer onboard USS LAKE CHAMPLAIN (CG 57) in San Diego, California, and as the Supply Officer onboard USS ROOSEVELT (DDG 80), homeported in Rota, Spain.
His shore duty assignments have included serving as the Services and Food Service Officer at Navy Support Facility Diego Garcia and as the Comptroller for Air Test and Evaluation Squadron One in Patuxent River, Maryland.
He retains Surface, Air, and Information warfare experience and qualifications from tours as a Logistics Specialist onboard USS CARL VINSON (CVN 70) and Navy Information and
Operations Command San Diego.
Lieutenant Commander Burdett is a qualified Naval Aviation Supply Corps and Surface Warfare Supply Corps Officer, with experience in business financial and supply chain management. His personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and various unit and campaign awards.
He is accompanied by his wife, Dr. Lurtz, and three rambunctious daughters.
