Lt.COL Kevin Lombard joined St Cyr Army cadet school in 2001 and then, choosing AAvn, began flying the Gazelle.

Assigned to the 5th RHC (combat helicopter regiment) between 2006 and 2009, he was deployed in operation in Djibouti and several times in the Indian Ocean onboard Navy warships.

He passed the evaluation and joined the 4th RHFS (SOF helicopter regiment) in 2009 and concurrently switch on the Tiger. He was the commander of the 6th SOF Squadron (Company) and was deployed in Afghanistan, Libya and Mali.

He has a NATO background: In 2013, he moved in Lille at the French Rapid Reaction Corps, firstly as AAvn SME and then as Chief Airspace manager.

He was the first SOF liaison officer embodied in the AAVN Command and then was assigned at the Command Action Group at NSHQ and aide de camp for the commander.

He graduated the French War College (2019) and Test Pilot School (2020) with a Mastères on experimental flight test engineering.

In cooperation with the DGA (procurement agency), he was the program officer for Tigre (2020-2022).

Assigned to the 4th RHFS in 2022, he is the current XO-S35.
