Liam has spent the last 20 years working in the utility helicopter space, and has covered most areas of aeronautical engineering, from R&D, design, build, flight line test, Squadron Management and engineering training. These skills have been deployed around the world in most operating conditions climates. He has also dedicated a large section of his career to date to engineering training, having both run an engineering training school as well as been the Program Manager for aviation training. He is currently Dstl’s Principal Rotorcraft Systems Engineer and the Project Technical Authority for the Tactical Aviation in a Contested, Degraded and Operationally limiting environment (Tactical Aviation CDO) which involves developing and analysis of tactical aviation concept’s generated across Dstl. The UK MOD and Industry partners; with a particular focus on: Apache, Chinook, Wildcat, Merlin, Chinook, NMH, A400M and Shadow.
