Major Nik West has been in the British Army and Royal Engineers since 2005, serving in the UK, Germany, Kenya, Cyprus, Gibraltar, Canada and Australia, deploying on Operations in
Afghanistan, the Broader Middle-East and the UK. He is a Professionally Qualified Engineer (PQE) Officer with a civilian and military background in the Civil Engineering and Construction Industry.
Having commanded Royal Engineers in peacetime and on Operations at Troop and Specialist Team level, he has been in Infrastructure staff roles in the Capability and Acquisition field since
2014. He joined the Programmes Directorate in 2022 as a Project Manager for the Deployable Infrastructure 2028 (DI28) Programme with a focus on Project MITER (Plant and Mechanical
Handling Equipment service contract) and more recently the Combat Water Supply System (CWSS) Project (new water purification capability), successfully delivering both to the Field Army
as planned.
