Colonel Per ÅKERBLOM is the Military Engineer Inspector of the Swedish Army since October 2022. He started his military career a conscript at an engineer platoon in the same regiment as he is now commanding, the Göta Engineer regiment, located in Ekjsö in the southern part of Sweden. Besides commanding positions at unit level and staff service at strategic and operational level he was appointed as Defence Attaché in France (side accredited to Spain) 2017-2020 and served in the UNMISS FHQ (South Sudan) 2012.
