Colonel Will Strickland is currently serving as Assistant Head of Concepts in the British Army Futures Directorate. He has served on multiple operational tours in Iraq, Afghanistan, and elsewhere – being awarded an OBE and US Defence Meritorious Service Medal for his work on operations with the Queen's Royal Hussars. He has recently completed a PhD at Cambridge University on sabbatical from the British Army.
Will is a keen adventurer and sportsman. In middle age, he took up endurance sports including open water swimming and triathlon. He is also a rower, previously competing for St John’s College, Cambridge University and he will be competing in the 2024 Atlantic Row Challenge.
