Captain Thomas Gasarabwe is the Operation & Training Officer of the Field Accommodation Unit, based in Beauvechain (Belgium).

He joined the Belgian Defence in 2008. After his initial education and engineering training, he joined the 4th Engineer Battalion in 2014, as platoon commander in a combat engineer company. He took his next assignment in 2018 in the Engineer School, as chief of the Force Protection Engineering & Bridging Dept.

Captain Gasarabwe has been deployed in Mali (EUTM, 2017-2018), and had the opportunity to take part in many deployments of the Field Accommodation Unit during the past years (Estonia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Romania, Hungary and Gabon).

He is currently actively participating in the implementation of the operational energy management strategy within the Field Accommodation Unit.
