Brigadier Trond Haande
Brigadier Trond Haande was born on November 18, 1972.
Haande joined the Army in 1991, as a student at the Engineer NCO School. Upon completion of his education, he served as a platoon sergeant and 2nd in command with the Engineer regiment from 1992-1993, before being accepted into the Norwegian Military Academy.
Haande graduated from the Norwegian Military Academy in 1996 and the Norwegian Defence Command and Staff College in 2010. In 2016 he completed the Norwegian Airforce mentor and talent program, and in 2019 NATO Defence College - the highest military educational level within NATO.
From 1996 to 2016 brigadier Haande served in various positions and organizations within the Army. From platoon and squadron commander for Cavalry squadron, to battalion commander with the Telemark Battalion/Brigade North. He has also served as S3 for His Majesty Kings Guard and senior staff officer for Norwegian Joint Headquarters (NJHQ). During this period, he was promoted lieutenant colonel
In 2000 Haande was deployed to KFOR, a NATO led international peacekeeping force in Kosovo. He has also been deployed to Afghanistan, first as squadron commander for Norwegian Recce Squadron in 2004. In 2012, was Haande deployed as Director CJOC Regional Command North/ISAF.
Haande was promoted colonel in 2016 and earned his position as Inspector of Cavalry and Infantry with the Norwegian Army Land Warfare Centre. A position he held before serving a tour of duty with the Ministry of Defence, at the Departement of Security Policy and Operations.
Haande was promoted brigadier in October of 2022, and assigned to his current posting as Commanding Officer, Norwegian Army Land Warfare Centre, located at Camp Rena.
Brigadier Trond Haande resides in the town of Elverum, is married and has four children.
