Safeguard Engineering is a leading provider of specialist Safety, Environmental and Engineering consultancy to Commercial and Defence industries, including UK Government departments.

Our highly qualified team comprises seasoned professionals with diverse backgrounds, drawing from a range of roles within the Ministry of Defence (MoD), including former Safety Managers, Military Engineers, Independent Safety and Environmental Auditors and Defence Regulators.

With hands-on experience working within Front Line Commands, MoD areas such as Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S) and supplier organisations, our staff have a depth of understanding of the defence acquisition process. This knowledge equips us to provide trusted defence consultancy and support to client organisations across the Concept, Assessment, Demonstration, Manufacture, In-service and Disposal (CADMID) cycle.

We specialise in the production and management of safety and environmental assurance documentation for various new equipment and systems. Examples include supporting delivery teams responsible for developing, fielding and sustaining communication equipment used in the joint land environment and deployable radars that enhance military air surveillance and intelligence system capabilities.

Our team not only ensures compliance of new equipment and systems with current legislative and regulatory requirements but also develop Legacy Safety Case Reports for equipment such as the All-Terrain Mobile Platform (ATMP) vehicle and the Multi Launch Rocket System (MLRS). Additionally, we have developed Safety Case Reports for Urgent Operational Requirement (UOR), including the Improved Tented Camp required for overseas deployment.

Having led the development of Hazard Logs, Environmental Feature Matrices, Safety & Environmental Case Reports and Safety & Environmental Management Plans in accordance with Defence Safety Authority Regulations, we have a proven track record in supporting Defence Land Projects and Delivery Teams.
