Mr. Eduardo Martinez Llarena  joined  the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) in 2014.

At SHAPE he is a Host Nation Support (HNS) subject matter expert.

Currently, he is involved in the development of the new NATO’s Host Nation Support concept for Collective Deterrance and Defence.

Previously, he was involved in the preparation of the Technical Arrangements and Memorandums of Understanding for the Very High Readiness Joint Task Force (VJTF).

He also performed the duties of HNS staff officer in the Standing Joint Logistics Support Group (SJLSG HQ). He coordinated the VJTF HNS requirements during the planning conferences

In addition to his duties, he supports the delivery of the HNS course in the NATO School of Oberammergau and he has contributed to different academic publications like The Handbook of Visiting Forces by Oxford University Press.
