42 years in the Maritime and Aviation Defence industry in the Military and Civil sector. Joining the Royal Navy in 1984 and serving 36 years, Craig spent the first 6 years in the General Service as an ASW operator in Leander class frigates and Type 42 Destroyers before transferring to the Fleet Air Arm in 1990. With 3000 hours as an ASW and AEW Operator / Instructor in Fixed and Rotary wing aircraft he enjoyed operational deployments across the globe. Following staff appointments in DE&S and Air Command in the UKMFTS programme he assumed Command of 750 Naval Air Squadron in 2014 before being assigned as the Operations Officer at RNAS Culdrose. Promoted to Commander in 2018 he assumed the role of Director Flying Training in Navy Command before leaving the service in Nov 2020. Since leaving the Service Craig spent 3 years with Helioperations in Portland as the Training System Architect, conducting BD activity, course design & delivery for Pilot and Rear Crew operators. Joining Thales in Sept 23 as the Flight Avionics Sales Manager he is responsible for Business Development and Sales of Rotary wing avionics to the UK and European Markets as well as supporting the development of new cutting edge technologies to reduce aircrew workload, enhance cockpit situational awareness and improve aircrew decision making such as Helmet Mounted Displays, Mission Management Systems and Open Systems technologies
