Personal Profile

Raised in Michigan, Lieutenant Colonel Robert Wallace graduated from Cedarville University in 2003 with a BA in International Studies. After early work in secondary education, television, and the outdoor industry, he joined the Marine Corps in 2008. As an infantry officer, he spent the first decade of his career deploying to Iraq and Afghanistan four times and training battalions for deployment supporting the Global War on Terror.Promoted to Major in 2018, he earned an MA in International Affairs from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California and then served as Director of the Program on Terrorism and Security Studies at the George C. Marshall Center in Germany. Returning to operational roles in 2023, he became Executive Officer of 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment and now serves as the Operations Officer at Marine Corps Tactics and Operations Group – the USMC Ground Combat Center of Excellence which manages doctrine, emerging concepts, and advanced individual and collective training for ground combat battalions and regiments.
