Project Manager Force Projection, US PEO
Clifton Boyd became the Project Manager, Force Projection, in July 2025. The organization is comprised of Product Manager Bridging, Product Manager Engineer, Maintenance & Support Equipment, Product Manager Petroleum & Water Systems, Product Manager, Robotic & Autonomous Systems, and Product Director Test, Measurement, & Diagnostic Equipment.
Prior to this assignment, he served as the Project Manager, Stryker Brigade Combat Team in Program Executive Office Ground Combat Systems.
A Department of Army Civilian for nearly four decades, Mr. Boyd has served in a variety of engineering and acquisition positions. Prior to his selection as PM Stryker Brigade Combat Team, he served as the organization’s Deputy Project Manager from August 2011 to July 2022. In these roles, he was responsible for managing the Stryker Family of Vehicles portfolio for the U.S. Army. During his tenure, the PM deployed and retrograded vehicles in theater, and oversaw the development, production, and fielding of the Double V Hull A1 and 30mm Dragoon Systems.
He also has served as the Assistant Program Executive Officer/Chief Engineer for PEO Ground Combat Systems. In this role, Mr. Boyd was responsible for the technical integrity of current and planned acquisition programs within the PEO portfolio, providing technical and acquisition insight to the Program Executive Officer.
Mr. Boyd holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the GMI Engineering & Management Institute (Flint, MI,) a Master of Science degree in Engineering from the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor, MI,) and a Master’s degree in Global Leadership and Management from Lawrence Technological University (Southfield, MI.) He is a Senior Service College Fellow and a member of the Army Acquisition Corps with Level III Certifications in Program Management, Systems Planning Research & Development – Systems Engineering, and Systems Planning Research & Development – Program Systems Engineering.
