Commander Dr.-Ing. Martin Hellman

Martin Hellmann graduated with a diploma in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Darmstadt in 1995. In 2000, he obtained his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Dresden, Germany. He has worked in various research positions, including at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and international institutions such as the Danish Defense Research Establishment and the University of Rennes in France and applied Electromagnetics in Scotland. He was involved in defense and security research coordination at the DLR headquarters in Cologne for over a decade. He has also worked internationally in New Zealand. Since January 2023, he is serving as a Commander in in the German Cyber and Information Domain Service Headquarters of the German Armed Forces, as Head of Team Space.
