Colonel Benjamin Ingham commissioned in the Royal Artillery in 1997 serving within general and close support facing units during his career. At staff he has worked as an SO2 at 3 Div HQ and HQ ARRC and, as an SO1 has worked at Army HQ. Deployments have included Op BANNER, 1998, Falkland Islands, 2000, Op FINGAL, 2002, Op TELIC, 2003 and thereafter numerous tours on Op TELIC and Op HERRICK in various comd and staff assignments. His last tour of duty was Op ELGIN(K), Kosovo, where he was assigned as the JOC Director. He is currently working as the Assistant Head Adaptation within the Joint Aviation Command Headquarters.

Lieutenant Colonel Ingham is married to Gemma who is serving with the Royal Navy as a SO2 within the Training and Management Branch.  They have 2 sons, Edward (5 years) and James (3 years), who are being strongly encouraged to ride, surf and windsurf, all of which keep both his mother and father busy when not working.  They have established their roots in Hampshire to provide stability for the family.
