Kirsten McCormick

Kirsten McCormick is Head of AI for Air & Naval UK at General Dynamics, leading the strategic direction, governance and practical adoption of artificial intelligence across engineering and business delivery. With seven years’ experience developing and applying AI capability, she brings breadth across classical machine learning approaches, including Random Forests, through to deep neural networks and modern AI-enabled systems. Kirsten combines technical depth with delivery leadership, having taken AI initiatives from early concept through to applied use in complex engineering environments. Her work focuses on responsible adoption, assurance, safety, human factors and operational value, ensuring AI is developed and deployed in a credible, governed and useful way. Her external profile is strengthened by five years with the IET’s AI Technical Network, including three years as Chair, where she contributed to wider industry discussion on ethical, safe and effective AI innovation.
