Tom Ball

Tom served as an operational strike attack pilot in the Royal Air Force and a JTAC instructor. After a debilitating back injury, he turned his hand to simulation, both bringing new simulators into service from concept to employment and exploiting COTs products to build new capabilities efficiently. On leaving the service, he formed Close Air Solutions; a company that he grew over 8 years providing joint fires simulation products and services, on demand training, and managed training facilities internationally. Now he works as a user facing consultant for BSI: training users, making content, and helping to guide the development of existing and future products within the company.
