CEFA is an independent family-owned company specialized in systems for Combat Engineers. Main activities are engineering and manufacturing of military bridging systems and mine clearance / C-IED systems.
R&D – Innovation
CEFA has extended and developed its large know-how thanks to 50 years of accumulated expertise in the fields of aluminum and high-strength steel mechanical structures, propulsion, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.
CEFA is one of the world’s leading experts in the hydrodynamic and mechanical calculations required for the design of wet gap bridging systems.
Bridging systems
CEFA has developed and produced two of the most efficient bridging systems in the world today.
The SRB (Steel Ribbon Bridge), designed for wet gap crossing of MLC 85T/120W vehicles, is a rustic and effective system. Easy to maintain, with a low life cycle cost, it can be transported on road by any civilian or military truck equipped with standard hooklift. Compatible with all NATO systems, the SRB is operated as a ferry or bridge using the Bridge Erection Boat (Vedette F2).
The EFA (Forward crossing vehicle) is an amphibious bridging and ferrying system. Its mission is to support forward combat units. Ready for use in just a few minutes, with a reduced crew of 2 people, it can carry the latest-generation MBT. Highly mobile on land and water, it is also effective in case of flooding.
Mine clearance systems
The SDZ (Zone Demining System) is a powerful, multipurpose and efficient machine able to respond to all demining needs. The SDZ is specially designed to mechanically clear extensive contaminated areas with Anti-Tank / Anti-Personal mines or to create safe lanes quickly. All these missions are carried out safely as remotely controlled.
SMINEX is an innovative project related to EOD equipment (individual protection suits, handheld detectors, X-Ray systems, Unmanned Grounds Vehicles) with a global approach in an integrated system to provide a maximum efficiency.
