Soucy Defense – Pioneering Composite Rubber Track Systems for Over 30 Years
Soucy Defense, a division of Soucy Group, has been a global leader in the design, development, and manufacturing of Composite Rubber Track (CRT) systems for more than three decades.
Founded over 50 years ago, Soucy Group is a privately held corporation with 1,500 employees across 12 subsidiaries in North America, specializing in high-performance rubber solutions for multiple industries, including defense.
Since 1988, Soucy Defense has been at the forefront of CRT innovation for military applications worldwide. The company’s journey began with its first project for Finland’s Sisu Nasu NA-140, a 5-ton vehicle, followed by the development of a CRT system for the 16-ton BRONCO vehicle in 1998. In 2002, Soucy achieved a major milestone by integrating CRTs on the M113 family of vehicles, weighing 13 tons, which today are installed on more than 1,000 platforms globally. In the early 2000s, CRT systems were also successfully integrated on the BV206 and BVS10 vehicles—versatile platforms used in both defense and commercial sectors across over 40 countries.
Continuing to push the limits of track technology, Soucy increased the CRT weight capacity to 22 tons for the Danish Defense’s M113 G4, and by 2012, developed a system capable of supporting 35-ton vehicles for the Norwegian Defense’s CV90. Today, Soucy Defense continues to innovate, with CRT systems designed for platforms reaching up to 55 tons, demonstrating the company’s commitment to advancing mobility solutions for modern defense needs.
Through continuous R&D and in-house manufacturing, Soucy Defense provides tailored CRT solutions for vehicles ranging from Articulated Tracked Vehicles (ATV) to heavy military platforms.
