Personal Profile

After finishing her MSc in Nuclear Physics from Stockholm University, Camilla Andersson started working at FOI as an Operations Research Analyst in 1997. Initially she worked with statistical analysis for emergency services, followed by assessment of electronic warfare technologies in a tactical context. In 2004, Camilla finished her second MSc in Operations Research from Strathclyde Business School, UK, and re-joined FOI as a seconded analyst to the Army Command at the Swedish Armed Forces Head Quarters. Together with the Army Command and the Land Warfare Centre, she developed an evaluation method, MARTA that assesses the warfighting capability and proficiency level for company and battalion units. During the operation in Afghanistan she worked at the Joint Operations Command supporting the C-IED effort and led the reachback support programme at FOI to the deployed units, focusing on the weapon intelligence teams. In 2017, she took on the role as deputy programme manager for the research programme Weapons and protection and since 2023, she has been the programme manager for the newly instated research programme for Land systems research.
