Halilović is PhD in Chemistry, Manager and Technologist of Ammunition Workshop with eight years experience in ammunition surveillance in AF of BIH.
He was awarded Young Scientist in 2018 by The International Organization of Scientific Research and Development and Young Scientist in 2022 by the Emerging professional association for the technology development.
He is the organizer of the Stability of propellants/gunpowder seminar in 2019, the First Regional Symposium on Energy Materials and their Application in 2022, the Second Symposium on Energy Materials and New Technologies in 2024 and the Fifth International Congress of Chemists and Technologists of Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2024.
He is an active researcher in the field of energy materials with priority on monitoring the stability of propellants and safe storage of ammunition.
He has published over 30 scientific papers and two books in the field of ammunition.
Halilović is a permanent lecturer at training courses for the AF of BIH regarding energy materials and ammunition and is actively involved in the development of ammunition monitoring software within the AF of BIH
He is a member of the NATO Teams for Energy Materials and Ammunition.
