Personal Profile

Born in El Ferrol (La Coruña), on December the 28th, 1968.

Joined the Military Academy in September, 1989. Graduated as an Infantry Lieutenant
in July 1994, and as a helicopter pilot in 1995.

Since then, his career has been focused mainly in helicopter units, especially as Head
of the OPS Branch of the 1st Attack Helicopter Battalion and commander of the 6th
Manoeuvre Helicopter Battalion.

He combined his posts in helicopter units with staffs, both in the Army Staff and in the
Defence Staff, where he leaded the Strategy and Strategic Plans Branch for three
years (2021-2024).

He is now posted in the Army Staff, Plans Division, Future Force Centre.

He has deployed in the 4 th Spanish Helicopter Detachment in the NATO Stabilization
Forces (SFOR) in Bosnia i Herzegovina, in the 1 st Spanish Helicopter Detachment in
Kirguizstan (Operation Enduring Freedom), and in the European Union Operation
Headquarters for Operation ATALANTA, in Rota.
He attended a number of military courses. The most relevant among them are:

Command and Staff (2006)
137 th Senior Course. NATO Defense College (2020)

He is married and have a son and two daughters. Loves running and photography.
