COL GS Pavel Zahradníček, Ph.D., MBA born in 1982. Absolved study programs at Military college in Vyškov (2004 bachelor).

During his duty by mechanised units from 2004 to 2018, occupied commanding and staff positions at tactical level (mechanised and recce platoon leader, infantry company leader, battalion adviser chief of staff S-2).

Since 2018, his carreer continued at Education and Training field at University of Defence-Department of Tactics. He started as an assistant of proffessor, team leader and continues as Department Head.

He was deployed in 5 operations (2005 EUFOR Bosnia and Herzegovina-infantry platoon leader, 2008 KFOR Kosovo-recce team leader, 2012 ISAF Afghanistan-OMLT team leader, 2016-2017 RS Afghanistan guarding detachment Executive Officer, during his academic service in 2023-2024 NMI Iraq J-7 head of out of country activities office and J-7 branch head deputy).

His education includes University of Defence (2007 master degree, 2017 doctoral degree), High Officer Course (2019), General staff course (2022) and MBA leadership program (2023).

Col Zahradnicek is Head of Department of Tactics, Faculty of Military Leadership, University of Defence. His aim is tactics of maneuver units, technical development and its implementation into tactics, related methodology of military training.

Among other awards and decoration, COL Zahradnicek is honored by Cross of Merit of the King Otakar II., Bronze-Star Medal and Combat Infantryman Badge.
