Colonel Laurent Grebil

Colonel Laurent GREBIL is graduated from Saint-Cyr, the French Military Academy in 1994 and from the French “Ecole de Guerre” in 2011.

He spent the first part of his career within Army logistic units, mainly within the 516th Logistic Regiment (platoon leader, company commander, S3 staff officer).

After the French “Ecole de Guerre”, he joint in 2011 the French Joint operations HQ in Paris as J5 staff officer.

ln 2012, he came back to the 516th Logistic Regiment to serve as S3 chief.

From 2014 to 2017, he served as the operations branch head of the French Logistic brigade.

He commanded the 503th Logistic Regiment (50 OFF, 250 NCO, 700 enlisted, 200 reservists), located in Nimes, in the Southeast of France, from 2017 to 2020.

Afterwards he moved in 2020 to the 3rd French Division in Marseille, as Logistic Branch head and DCOS Support.

He joined JFCBS HQ in 2023 as the J4 Plans Branch Head and is mainly focused on the NATO Regional Plan Center development.

He has been deployed 7 times in operation overseas (Kosovo, Bosnia, Ivory Coast, Afghanistan, Mali, Central Africa Republic, Chad). During his last operation, he was, as DCOS SPT, in charge of the French Forces withdrawal from Mali and Niger.

Chevalier in the French order of Legion d’Honneur, he is distinguished with “croix de la valeur militaire”

He is married and the father of 2 children.
