Bio: Colonel Leigh Irwin, USMC, serves as the Program Manager for the Multi-Mission Tactical Unmanned Aircraft Systems program office (PMA-266), overseeing the development, delivery, and sustainment of MQ-9A Marine UAS Expeditionary Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MUX MALE) for the US Marine Corps. A seasoned Marine aviator, Col Irwin brings extensive operational and acquisition experience to the role. Her background includes flying the UH-1N and Y helicopters, serving as a Weapons and Tactics Instructor (WTI), and holding key acquisition positions within the AH-1Z and UH-1Y program office. These experiences have provided her with a deep understanding of Marine Corps aviation requirements and the complexities of the US acquisition process. Col Irwin holds a Master of Science degree in National Resource Strategy from the National Defense University’s Eisenhower School, formerly the Industrial College of the Armed Forces (ICAF). Her strategic acumen, coupled with her hands-on experience in both operations and acquisition, makes her ideally suited to lead the critical Multi-Mission Tactical UAS program.
