Kim Mathiassen received his master’s degree in technical cybernetics in 2010 from NTNU. He received his doctorate in robotics in 2017 from UiO, where he was on exchange to the University of Verona for six months. Before starting his academic career, he attended the Army Communications Command School and served for one year as a sergeant in the Communications Battalion.
Kim Mathiassen joined FFI in 2015 and is researching control and decision-making for unmanned vehicles. He also works at UiO as an associate professor II where he teaches robotics at the Department of Technology Systems.
