Lieutenant Colonel Nick Wood

Lt Col Nick Wood joined the British Army in 1983 and served for 22 years as a Soldier prior to commissioning in 2005. As a Yeoman of Signals he provided close communication support to specialist users and also within HQ ARRC, deploying to Bosnia in 1996 as part of IFOR, and Kosovo in 1999. He has wide operational experience in communications planning and management having deployed to the 1st Gulf War in 1990 and completed 4 tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. Following a period in the Army Reserves (Specialist Group Information Services) from 2019 to 2024 he worked for Thales SIX in the UK and CGI. He rejoined the Regular Army in 2024 and is working within the Land Domain C4 Portfolio delivering CIS capability across the British Army. He is due to retire having completed 44 years of service in 2027.
