Major Ivo Peets

Dr. Ivo Peets is the Commander of the Estonian Force Transformation Command, responsible for accelerating the development, integration, and fielding of new military capabilities. His work focuses on transforming military capability development, linking long-term defence planning, innovation, experimentation, force design, and the rapid introduction of operationally relevant solutions into service. He holds a PhD from Tallinn University on comprehensive national defence planning for small states and completed doctoral studies at the Naval Postgraduate School in the United States. With more than 20 years of military service, He has held appointments in the Estonian Defense Forces Headquarters, the Estonian Military Academy, and international missions, including NATO ISAF in Afghanistan and the European Union Training Mission in Mali.
