Stephen O’Sullivan

Stephen works with the European Defence Agency as Project Officer for Unmanned Aircraft Systems Airspace Integration and other UAS related initiatives to deliver on behalf of the militaries of EU Member States . Stephen served 16 years with the Irish military across a variety of roles including overseas as an Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance unit commander, in counter terror bomb disposal roles and as staff officer at HQ. Stephen previously led the United Nations UAS training programme as well as the Counter UAS capability development which saw deployments across MENA. On leaving the Defence Forces Stephen delivered modules on sensors, aerodynamics, ballistics, and advanced weapon systems including counter unmanned aircraft system (drone) technologies as an associate lecturer at the Institute of Technology, Carlow.
