Saab, Inc. has selected Anduril Rocket Motor Systems as a supplier to design, develop, qualify, and eventually produce Solid Rocket Motors (SRM) in support of the Ground-Launched Small Diameter Bomb (GLSDB) system, delivered in partnership with Boeing. Anduril was selected for our ability to deliver propulsion systems quickly, at scale, and more affordably than competitors.

Anduril is delivering a modern, high-performance replacement motor which will meet the existing performance and mass properties of the M26 MLRS solid rocket motor currently powering GLSDB. Leveraging an improved design optimized for safety and affordability, new sub-tier suppliers, and Anduril’s novel manufacturing technologies, Anduril brings significant capacity, enabling the delivery of GLSDB systems in larger quantities for customers. Anduril has already commenced work to develop and qualify the system with plans to transition it to full rate production in 2026.

Affordable long range precision fire weapons are fundamental to the United States and allied nations’ security interests. Challenged by an oversaturated supply base, the SRM industry has struggled to keep up with the increasing demand for motors. The GLSDB system is combat-proven and uniquely flexible—offering a more affordable alternative to legacy precision strike systems. Saab’s decision to partner with Anduril reflects confidence in our ability to meet this moment with speed, innovation, and reliability.
