L3Harris to Equip Australian Bushmaster Vehicles with Integrated C4I Systems

Auto Draft

L3Harris has secured a role in the Australian Defence Force’s LAND 4111 programme. The company will deliver a complete command, control, communications, computers and intelligence (C4I) solution for the Bushmaster Protected Mobility Vehicle.

Scope of the work

The company will cover the full process, from system design and integration to installation and delivery. The work applies to candidate in-service Command and Troop variants of the Bushmaster. LAND 4111 aims to improve operational connectivity, interoperability and mission effectiveness across the ADF.

Delivery and location

Over the next three years, L3Harris will design and fit selected vehicles with resilient, interoperable communication systems. Engineers will carry out the work at the company’s Indo-Pacific Regional Support Centre in Pinkenba, Queensland. Keeping the work onshore supports Australia’s push for sovereign defence capability.

Industry perspective

Andrew Rushbrook, Managing Director of L3Harris Communications Australia, said the company was honoured to work alongside the Commonwealth. He described the programme as a critical communications modernisation capability.

“By providing a complete design-through-installation C4I solution, we are delivering advanced, integrated communications systems that support Australian warfighters’ operational success in today’s increasingly complex environments,” Rushbrook said, according to L3Harris
