ARX Robotics and Roboneers have launched ARX Industries, a joint venture to mass-produce unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) for Ukrainian Defence Forces, as per a recent press statement. The new entity will manufacture the Rys Pro UGV across facilities in Germany and Ukraine.
ARX Industries targets thousands of Rys Pro units within its first year of operation. Output is projected to scale to tens of thousands annually thereafter. The venture directly supports Ukraine’s target of deploying 50,000 UGVs to its military in 2026.
The Rys Pro will cover a range of mission-critical roles, including casualty evacuation, frontline logistics, and combat operations, as well as mining and demining tasks. Manufacturing, maintenance, and operational support all fall within the joint venture’s remit, establishing a long-term sovereign UGV production base.
Production facilities span Germany and Ukraine, combining industrial capacity with frontline proximity. This positioning allows each production batch to incorporate lessons from active deployment, shortening the loop between battlefield experience and factory output.
The partnership operates under the Build with Ukraine initiative. It carries backing from both the Ukrainian and German governments, reflecting the venture’s strategic significance for European defence sovereignty.
Co-Founder and CFO at ARX Robotics, Maximilian Wied, commented: “Every week without the right equipment costs lives. ARX Industries is our joint answer of our partners and us to that urgency, a production engine built to deliver battle-proven UGVs to Ukrainian forces faster and at a scale that makes a real difference on the ground.”
Executive Chairman at Roboneers, Anton Skrypnyk, added: “Ukraine has proven that robots win battles. Now, ARX Robotics and Roboneers are bringing that power to scale, delivering battle-proven UGVs to Ukrainian soldiers faster than ever. This is what ‘Build with Ukraine’ looks like in practice.”
