Transforming Land Forces For The Future Fight
Globally, land forces face complex threats that challenge our ability to compete with peer adversaries. Potential opponents have not stood still—they have studied our equipment and tactics to build increasingly capable forces. As a result, land forces now contend with a range of advanced threats including uncrewed aerial systems, anti-armour rounds, loitering munitions, and Cyber/EW effects. To stay ahead, they must adapt physically, conceptually, and culturally in a world shaped by rapid technological change, climate pressures, and assertive state and non-state actors.
To meet future challenges, nations must swiftly identify and address capability gaps. This is essential to deter conflict and, if needed, defeat adversaries in combat. Success demands learning from the past while embracing innovative, cutting-edge solutions suited to the information-age battlefield. Land forces must increasingly operate jointly across domains and alongside allies and partners in large-scale operations.
Future equipment is being developed to be more lethal, agile, and digitally integrated. Our Future Land Forces conference will unite top speakers, industry experts, programme leads, commanders, engineers, and scientists to share challenges, network, and shape solutions for today’s and tomorrow’s land forces.
